Habotai silk is often referred to as "China Silk".  It is light, breezy and very reasonably priced.  Other silks that I love working with include stone washed Crepe de Chine, which is very soft with a luxurious drape; Chiffon, a sheer fabric with a soft and beautiful drape; and Charmeuse, the "Rolls Royce" of silks, with a firm, soft, supple hand and a luxurious heavy drape.
